Examination / Eligibility for 2nd Year
At the completion of the academic session of 1st and 2nd Semesters, the University of Kashmir will conduct examinations in both theory and practical courses. To be eligible for promotion to the 2nd Year (3rd and 4th Semesters), a student must pass at least 50% of the subjects offered in the 1st Year. # In Semesters I & II combined, there are 10 theory papers and 3 practicals, making a total of 13 courses. # A student must qualify in at least 7 courses to become eligible for the 2nd Year. As per the University Academic Calendar, the examinations for Semesters I & II and Semesters III & IV are tentatively held in the months of October / November every year.
